Website Load Time Google PageSpeed Insights Free Tool

Did you know that over half of the worlds internet users will abandon a webpage if it does not load within 3 seconds? Website load times are crucial to your user’s experience and your over all SEO.

Google has a pretty amazing tool that is completely free called PageSpeed Insights. This load time tool will give you in detail how well your website is performing, all the issues laid out from high to low priority and all the necessary steps you need to fix these issues.

#2 The Results

Google will grade your web page and give it a score from 0 to 100. There is an overview on the left and a summary below with details on how to fix the issues causing slow load time. In the details of the summary, you will notice more detail by clicking the blue link to the individual issue.

This may be overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. A good place to start is by using this free WordPress plugin W3 Total Cache here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Make sure to read everything about this plugin and how it works before installing it. If you are not 100% comfortable with the process I suggest hiring someone who knows what they are doing.

Now I am going to go take my advice and get this site optimized. It’s kind of like the Mechanic with the busted car situation but I need to get it done just like you, I am loosing revenue because of it. Now get going and fix your load times!
